These three overexposed subjects represent the ephemeral aspect of the Icelandic land. The ones that float between the natural and the transformed. All have been naturally weathered by the Icelandic climate but other have been transformed by the countries’ people, sheep, tourists, etc. What is/has become of the natural aspects of the Icelandic land? How is the tourists’ consumption affecting it? Will these beautiful sites be overexposed to the point of no return? Will they be left floating in an ephemeral state of in-be-tween?
Ces sujets surexposés représentent l’aspect éphémère de la terre islandaise, ceux qui flottent entre le naturel et le transformé. Tous ont été naturellement altérés par le climat islandais, mais d’autres ont été transformés par les habitant.e.s du pays, les moutons, les touristes, etc. Qu’en est-il des aspects naturels de la terre islandaise ? La consommation des touristes l’affecte-t-elle ? Ces sites magnifiques seront-ils surexposés jusqu’au point de non-retour ? Seront-ils laissés à flot dans un état éphémère d’entre-deux ?
