Les 12 ensembles de cette série sont construits de la même méthode : soit, l’ensemble en d’image
en jet d’encre montrant les guides à leur poste et l’espace qu’elles surveillent, tout en me
démontrant comme capteuse d’images, et donc, par conséquent, « dans » la place à les capter. Les
« triangles » (ou formes plutôt « carrées ») faits de fils de pêche recyclé qui entourent de petits
clous sont installés dans chaque cadre. Ces derniers représentent la formation même des guides
lors de la prise d’images, et donc, démontrant notre « place » lors de chaque atterrissage. De ce
fait, chaque ensemble dans chaque cadre présente l’espace et la place figés statiquement par le
photographique comme un artéfact de l’espace vécu transformé en place vécue.

Smaller in dimension, this projet was shown in 2019 at A Magnetic North, curated by Kate Collyer, at The Mildred I. Washington Gallery in Poughkeepsie, NY (3rd part of an ongoing and growing/changing exhibition).
These three exhibitions engaged the viewer with these paths with the works and processes of the artists that have continued evolving since, and change from show to show. The shows is therefore a mixture of works deriving from different disciplines such as visual arts, poetry, literature, music, and science, all with conclusions of the collective experiences. The diversity of responses in the exhibition will include a range of media such as means of documentation (photography, journaling, song writing, sketching); work created on the expedition and post expedition and work created with specific research and pre/post-trip parameters.

The Arctic Circle Exhibition took place from April 3-21st, 2017 and be held in the Moudy Gallery at Texas Christian University’s School of Art in Fort Worth, Texas.
